Hey Everyone!
So the transfer is officially over. Time is
going by so fast!! A few trends changed though as Elder H has been transferred
to Mindelo. He is the first companion that hasn’t stayed with me for two
transfers. Also, my new companion is Elder C and he is from Salt Lake
City. So that ends my streak of foreign companions as well. He’s really awesome
though and I’ll be training him to be a zone leader. His middle name is also
Thor so that’s pretty intense. We’re going to have an awesome transfer and we
have a lot of prepared people right now.
I am really excited to stay here in São Filipe
because all of a sudden we have been finding amazingly prepared people
everywhere!! The family that we found last week is progressing super fast and
they love church. The members are so excited and they are now going to be
baptized a week early. They want the branch president to baptize them but he
will be going to the temple in Brazil the week of their original date with his
family so they decided that they want to be baptized a week early. They are
amazing!! We’ve got a bunch of people who have been coming to church and who
are getting ready to be baptized this transfer so we are going to be very
busy.
Things are really progressing in our area and it
is starting to explode again. The members are helping out tons and Heavenly
Father is really blessing us for our work. I hope everyone is doing well at
home and that the snow doesn’t drive you all insane! It is super nice here
right now and we are just enjoying the nice island weather. Have a good week!
